History of Villa Oasis
In 1924, Jacques Majorelle, painter and explorer, acquired the property and built a villa inspired by Orientalist design, incorporating traditional Moroccan architectural elements. Originally named Villa Bousafsaf, it was threatened by real estate development. Thanks to Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent, the villa was saved in 1980, fully restored by American architect Bill Willis and French designer Jacques Grange, and renamed Villa Oasis.
